Data Deletion — Ezik

Ezik does not require an account. You can use the whole app as a guest without signing in at all, and in that case there is no account here for you to delete — all your data is on your device, and erasing it is yours to do in seconds (section 2).

If you do choose to sign in with Google or Apple, an account is created for you here, and deleting it is yours to do inside the app in two steps — see section 1.

Your child's profile and conversations are stored on the device only, never on our servers.

1 · Deleting your account

If you signed in with Google or Apple, these are the steps to delete your account:

1. Open the Ezik app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap "Delete account".
4. Confirm.

Erased immediately and permanently, with no copy kept:

• Your identifier at Google or Apple
• Your verified email address
• The index that joins the two sign-in doors
• Your session key

No additional retention period. We keep no copy, no archive and no recovery window.

What this button does not erase — each has its own route on this page:

• Data stored on your device — section 2
• The digest of the parental lock code — section 3
• Reports you sent yourself — section 4

If you cannot open the app for any reason, email passerbyq8@gmail.com from the same address you signed in with. We will delete your account and confirm within 30 days.

2 · Deleting the app's data from your device — in seconds

Fastest: open Parent settings inside the app (behind the PIN) and tap "Delete all data". Everything is wiped immediately and the app starts fresh.

Or:

• Uninstall the app — its data is removed with it.
• Or in the browser: Settings → Privacy → Site data → ezik.app → Delete.

This erases: name, birth year and gender · all conversations · the AI-consent decision and its version number · your answer on the entry screen · your place in the Mushaf, your memorisation progress and the adhkar you have read · reminder settings · and the position saved for the qibla and the prayer times, if you granted the location permission. Permanently. We keep no copy.

3 · The parental lock code

The parental lock code is judged on our server rather than in the browser, and we keep a salted digest of it, never the code itself, tied to the device identifier.

To delete it: open the parents' dashboard in the app, tap "Delete the parental code", and enter that same code to confirm. It is erased on our side immediately.

The code also expires on its own twelve months after it was set, and a new one is asked for.

Clearing site data alone does not erase the digest of the parental lock code on our side — it only stops this device from reaching it. To have it removed after that, email us (section 6).

4 · Reports

We store a report only if you tapped the Report button yourself under a reply.

To have a report deleted: email us with its approximate date and time. We delete it within 30 days and confirm to you.

Everything else we keep is listed in full in section 6 of the privacy page: the digest of the parental code, the usage counters, and an operational record that expires within 48 hours.

5 · Withdrawing consent to share data with AI services

From inside the app: Settings → Privacy and AI → "Withdraw consent and turn off the AI features".

• Withdrawal stops future sending immediately: no question, image, file or voice recording is sent to any provider after it.
• It does not automatically retrieve what a provider already processed before the withdrawal, under that provider's policies.
• It does not delete conversations saved on your device — erasing those is yours to do, by the methods in section 2.
• The app keeps working: the Mushaf, the adhkar, the knowledge treasures and the local features all remain available.
